Questions people actually ask
The same answers you will find inside the app, in its Help screen.
How do I set up prayer times?
Open the Prayer tab and tap the settings icon (or Settings → Prayer Settings). You can choose from twelve calculation methods, pick the madhhab for Aṣr (Shāfiʿī or Ḥanafī), and enable the Adhan per prayer. Set your city from the Prayer screen if location isn’t detected.
What is the Adhan feature?
On Android, Ikhlaas can play the call to prayer at each waqt. Enable notifications in Settings, then turn on Adhan in Prayer Settings and choose which prayers should play it.
Can I choose which prayers play the Adhan?
Yes. In Settings → Prayer Settings, once Adhan is on, you’ll see a toggle for each of Fajr, Dhuhr, Aṣr, Maghrib and Isha.
Why is the Adhan not playing?
Check three things: notifications are on in Settings, Adhan is enabled in Prayer Settings, and at least one prayer is selected to sound it. Then check your device’s volume.
How do I find the Qibla?
Open Tools → Qibla (or Settings → Qibla Compass). Hold your phone flat and rotate until the Kaaba marker reaches the top. The angle from North and the distance to Makkah are shown, computed on your device.
Where do the duas and hadith come from?
The Duas & Adhkar are drawn from Ḥisn al-Muslim and the authentic collections, each shown with its Arabic, transliteration, translation and source. Hadith come from Bukhārī, Muslim and others; Qur’an is in the Saheeh International rendering.
How does the prayer & fasting tracker work?
Open Tools → Tracker to log your five daily prayers and mark the days you fast. Your rate, streaks and last-seven-days chart are kept privately on your device.
Can I customize my daily deed?
The deeds are curated from authentic Islamic teachings, so you can’t add your own — but if a deed doesn’t fit your day, tap Skip to receive an easier alternative.
How does the gratitude journal work?
Open Tools → Journal to record what you’re grateful for. You can set morning and evening reminders in Settings → Customize Notifications.
How do I add the home-screen widget?
On Android, long-press your home screen, choose Widgets, and add the Ikhlaas Hijri widget — or use Settings → Add Widget to Home Screen. It shows the current Hijri date and refreshes each day.
Is there any cost, ads, or account?
No ads, no account, and no trackers. Ikhlaas is free. All your data stays on your device — the app doesn’t send it to any server.
